Lilacs

I love the scent of lilacs. It reminds me of a May afternoon when I was 17. My boyfriend, who lived on the other side of town and had no car, took 2 buses to bring me a bouquet of lilacs he had picked.

Ah, lilacs. One of my favorite scents. We don't seem to have very many around NYC, although I must say the cherry and apple blossoms were incredible this year (peaked around the first weekend of May this year). I don't think I've ever seen the trees so full and with such big flowers. I also don't know if they are really cherry or apple blossoms as these trees do not bear any fruit, but that's what I've heard them called by others.

I've never had a desire to own a business, but if I did, a nursery seems like it would be a very cool business to own. However, since I know nothing about plants, it would probably be rather difficult to do!
